I purchased my bottle of Fairy Secrets’ Instant Natural Pain Relief approximately two years ago while I was at a Renaissance Faire. While I was initially hesitant to believe that a 4 oz bottle containing only four ingredients would ‘magically’ take away all the pain associated with having a titanium hip… I went along with my gut and purchased it and don’t regret my decision at all.
As I mentioned in my introductory post for this series, The Things I Carry, I will be discussing why I have kept my Fairy Secrets’ Instant Natural Pain Relief from my Minimalist Adventure. You can consider this an informal review of sorts and if you want to try the magic spray yourself, then keep on reading.
As I’ve mentioned in my introduction, I got a full right hip replacement several years ago. Thanks to modern medicine and lots of physical therapy, I recovered from the surgery and am able to live a happy and active lifestyle. However as with any kind of surgery, I’m not at 100% nor will I ever be.
There are days when it’s raining, when it’s snowing, or when it’s just cold that my right hip will ‘flare up’. Most of the time the pain is bearable, just constant, and I’ll grin and bear it. While taking pain medication is a viable option, as is complaining, I tend to stick with waiting out for the pain to go away on its own as it usually does. I will only go for pain meds if the pain becomes unbearable or if I know that I need to do a lot of walking while my hip has its episode.
So when I stumbled across a natural pain spray that could act as a relief for my hip, I naturally wanted to give it a try. I wish I could tell you what it is about the spray that works, but just as the name indicates, the results are practically instantaneous. It’s been quite the miracle worker for those occasions where I’m being too stubborn to take any pain medication.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FAIRY SECRETS INSTANT NATURAL PAIN RELIEF
It’s Natural- This bottle has four ingredients: eucalyptus oil, grapeseed oil, aloe, and jojoba. It’s simple, I can actually pronounce the ingredients, and I don’t have to worry about any ‘harmful chemicals’ that may affect my skin in the long-term.
It smells great- I mentioned in my post about Tease that I have a horrible sense of smell. However the strong smell of eucalyptus is one that my nostrils can pick up with ease and I love it! Whenever I rub it on my hip, a grin immediately can be seen on my face.
Fairy Secrets is a Small Business- My daytime job consists of ‘helping entrepreneurs thrive’ which is why I’m so fond of small businesses. I love the fact that not only does my purchase help me with my pains, but it also supports a small business and keeps them running.
It works- Did I mention the fact that it works? Okay, well I’ll say it again. I love this product because it works. Granted, I doubt it’ll work 100% for every single pain that exists, but I find that after I spray and rub it on my hip, I feel significantly better… And that’s honestly enough for me.
WHAT DOESN’T WORK ABOUT FAIRY SECRETS INSTANT NATURAL PAIN RELIEF
It feels greasy- I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t like getting my hands dirty. With that being said, I don’t like how my hands feel after rubbing this on my skin. My skin feels amazing after I put the spray on, but my hands usually require a bit of washing before I can get all the oils off of my fingers.
It’s not discreet- If I take my bottle with me and need to put it on in a public space (i.e. a Ren Faire where there’s tons of people)… Then there’s really no discreet way to put it on. Putting aside the whole ‘needing to pull up my pants/skirt’ to apply the spray on my hip, the eucalypus smell is wayyyy too strong to be able to hide it. So if you have anyone who hates the smell, be ready to apologize.
The label wears off- My bottle is about two (or more) years old. Unfortunately the cute fairy that was on the bottle now is just a pair of wings and some hair. Her entire body is cone and so is the majority of the logo itself. It just doesn’t look nice. However the most critical part of the bottle, the website of where I can get some more, is still perfectly legible on the bottom right of the bottom.
OTHER THOUGHTS ABOUT FAIRY SECRETS INSTANT NATURAL PAIN RELIEF
I love my Fairy Secrets Instant Natural Pain Relief. As I said before, I’m not 100% sure as to why it works as quickly and effectively as it does, but I won’t question it. Maybe it’s all the oils being put to work, maybe it’s the aromatherapy from smelling so much eucalyptus, or perhaps there’s a placebo effect with how much I believe in this product… Honestly I’m not sure.
I would definitely recommend trying this product. You can order them online so you don’t have to try and hunt down the fairies to take their secrets. The worst thing that could happen is that you get a neat stocking stuffer for someone in the holidays. The best things that could happen is that you may find a natural solution to cure your pains. If you can’t stand the smell of eucalyptus, I guess you’ll just have to grin and bear it fi you use this product.
